Renegade Necrophile Princess
[Current Mood |crappycrappy]

I'm really not one for mopey journal posts. I generally stay away from that bullshit with a ten foot pole. Suuuure, I read your guys' various woes. I even respond to them with witty attempts to make you feel better, or perhaps suggest advice, but when do I ever admit I'm particularly unhappy?

Never, really. Unless I have some boorish way to express it in raunchy or amusing ways.

But right now? I ain't feeling it. I haven't been for over a week. It's gotten to the point where even things that should make me feel particularly touched or happy have done little to phase me.

If I could put my finger on one particular thing, maybe I could get my shit together. But something tells me if it's one particular thing.. then that's a pretty fucking hefty problem. No.. what it's been, is a bad mood compounded by various lifey butthurts until I'm left feeling nothing but a knot in my stomach, and the moody unwillingness to do anything but sleep.

Not a good situation, I assure you.

God, I can't wait until I start to feel better. I'm not very productive like this, and my grades depend on it.

Could it be a bit of SAD? I know I get really affected by the lack of sunshine.

Get into the sun (if and when it shows), get some exercise, take some vitamin D.

If I lived closer I would come poke you till you cheered up just to get me to stop.

Hey you -
what's your schedule like? You're right next door to me most of the time. Haven't seen you in ages.

I can't really say, and that is a big issue for me. I have so much shit piled up on my lap with school that I am feeling as though I am drowning in it.

I've heard some of the programs there are quite overwhelming. I'm around if you need me.

Welcome to my world, won't you come on in?

Sounds like how I've spent the last 25 years. Depression is the living death. By all means whack yourself up with 2000cc's of vitamin do for a month or so, and try and get some te under a sunlamp. But if it does not fix it get REAL help!

Seriously, clinical depression is nothng to fuck with. Trust me, as a lifetime sufferer I know of what I speak. It can ruin your life. It pretty much ruined mine. Avoid SSRIs as the side effects are worse than the disease. But get help as soon as you can, don't let schhol and your life crash and burn.

Re: Welcome to my world, won't you come on in?

If things go the way they normally do, I'll be my old self again.. eventually.

Re: Welcome to my world, won't you come on in?

As far as SSRIs go, I know some people have had side effects that are worse than their illnesses, but I take one and it actually helps tremendously. I think it really depends on the individual, and it's worth looking into. :)

i've been feeling kind of the same way lately. i do think the weather has something to do with it as clio said... and also being rather sedentary (at least in my case... i need to get up off of my lazy arse and do something). we should get together sometime. i still have to give you your christmas present (which should hopefully cheer you up a bit and remind you of the lovelier aspects of summer). let me know when you're free!

See, that's one of my problems. I never know when I am free. If I have free time, I should be doing homework. If I am not doing my homework, I am thinking about what I am not doing. I literally have to be dragged from the house at times due to this.. it's a little disheartening, so to speak.

School does get overwhelming. But if you don't take time to relax once in a while you won't make it to the end with any sanity.

We'll try and smuggle you tea in your padded room.

yeah, i kind of have to agree with clio and waster here. you can set aside time for homework, but also set aside time to do fun things. i still managed to hang out with friends in college (heck, that's when i met you lot and started gaming) and get my schoolwork done. i think that by allowing myself to have some fun, i was able to get down to work more readily (and willingly) when the time came.

I'm sorry that you are feeling that way. It's not fun and it's not easy.

*sadface* - maybe delegating time to hang out with other livingbreathinghumanbeings is just as important as doing homework, [if not moreso,] and it could provide some structure/motivation in your days?

it's GOOD to be good to yourself.
"saving time" is like saving money: there's not much point, and it's not much fun, if you don't spend it on something fun once in awhile.

i hope you feel better soon!

Should I be kidnapping you? Or bringing over crochet/projects to do companionably in the same room as you study, as a friend did for me long ago?...

I've been in school for a few years now and I no longer know what to do if I don't have a pile of stuff that I should be doing hanging over my head. The only reason I have time for LJ today is because work called and said not to come in due to the blizzard

I'm taking 7 classes a semester. It's agonizing!!!

But alas, I am learning how to handle it.

Also.. when the hell is your wedding, woman? I'm trying to plan my trip out there, this summer.. :D

Actually I was doing both until I quit my job yesterday...

Anyhow, I am excite! I added your wedding thing as my friend on Facebook. I will plan my trip home around your wedding so I can go. Also, if you're interested in the idea, we can make plans to do some special hanging-out sessions beforehand as well! I think we have years and years to catch up on, yes?
